In honor of Haitian Flag Day, which was on May 18th Mr. Saint Cyr read the story Haitian Flag Day Fleurins's Way, by Jinica Dauphin. The children enjoyed learning about the many ways in which the Haitian culture and heritage is celebrated throughout the day!
Madison Celebrates the 100th Day of School
Madison School begins celebrating Black History Month.
Looking Back:
This week was a whirlwind of activity! Our 2nd graders dove into the iReady 2nd Diagnostic, setting the stage for focused learning in the months ahead.
Penny Wars wrapped up, and the competition was fierce! After counting all the coins and bills, we'll announce the winner, and the funds will go towards exciting end-of-year festivities.
Madison Monday brought families together for an engaging Family Academic Engagement Night focused on Math Fluency, led by the fabulous Ms. Varriello, Ms. Ruffino, and Ms. Geter.
Wednesday's Physics assembly, Forces in Motion, courtesy of the Madison PTO, had our students on the edge of their seats! They learned about Gravity, friction, and Newton’s Laws of Motion.
We ended the week cozy with Popcorn and Pajamas Night, all supporting the upcoming Aladdin Jr. production courtesy of our Madison PTO.
Looking Ahead:
February marks Black History Month, and Madison School students will be engaged with projects and lessons celebrating the contributions and achievements of African Americans.
On February 26th, our students will enjoy the Spirit to Overcome Assembly, spotlighting the powerful stories of African American women.
February is all about building momentum! Students and staff will work together to boost ELA and Math proficiency, strengthen community ties, and implement our PBSIS system centered on Madison PRIDE.
